Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company (US) is seeking a Senior Welding Engineer to own welding processes for structural steel production. You will develop, implement, and sustain welding procedures, optimize processes, and support both robotic and manual welding operations to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

Collaboration with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain is essential. Responsibilities include establishing weld parameters, reviewing designs for weldability,

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Experience with structural steel fabrication and welding processes (GMAW-P pulse and TIG).
• Knowledge of AWS welding codes, welding metallurgy, and weld testing methods.
• Experience with welding procedures, PQRs, WPSs, and weld quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the facility SME for welding processes, equipment, quality, and standards.
• Develop, qualify, and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
• Lead weld process development, optimization, and troubleshooting for structural steel fabrication.
• Support robotic and manual GMAW-P pulse welding processes; provide TIG welding support.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and Quality to define welding requirements and inspection criteria.
• Drive improvements to equipment, fixtures, tooling, and process controls.
