Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Blauvelt, NY, is seeking a Welding & Compliance Engineer to develop and optimize welding and brazing processes while ensuring ASME and related code compliance. The role reports to the Production Engineering and Quality Manager and is onsite with responsibility for process documentation and audits.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/manufacturing/welding engineering degree with 5+ years in welding environments. Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, welding engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in welding, brazing, or pressure vessel environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX, Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, CRN, UL, and related certification requirements.
• Experience developing and qualifying welding and brazing procedures.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, PDM, Microsoft Office, and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, qualify, and continuously improve welding and brazing processes.
• Serve as technical expert for TIG, MIG, laser, robotic welding, and joining technologies.
• Develop and maintain WPS, PQR, BPS, WPQ, BPQ, and related process documents.
• Support qualification and certification of welders and Brazers per code requirements.
• Coordinate and support audits, inspections, and certification activities.
