Job summary

Custom Pipe and Fabrication in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Welder III to perform complex welding tasks on stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials, ensuring adherence to project specs and deadlines.

This role requires advanced welding techniques (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW), blueprint interpretation, and NDT certification; mentoring junior welders and collaborating with plant leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive welding knowledge and experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; advanced welding certifications required.
• Proficient in advanced welding techniques, FCAW, GMAW and SMAW.
• Strong ability to interpret and follow complex blueprints and specifications.
• Pass NDT; certified in multiple procedures and processes (Xray, API, UT).
• Advanced welding certification preferred AWS D1.1 and ASME Section 9.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex welding tasks on various materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and ductile iron.
• Oversee the quality control of welding operations to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Conduct inspections, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Train and mentor Level I and Level II welders, providing guidance and technical advice.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager and other department leads to ensure efficient production.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all welding areas.
