Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Welder III to join our National City, CA team.

The ideal candidate will perform complex welding tasks in support of ship repair and maritime fabrication projects, with a strong background in structural and pipe welding and experience in shipyards or maritime environments. The welder will work with our Fleet Services Group on ship repair, modernization, and Alteration Installation Team (AIT) projects for U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years in ship repair and HM&E systems installation.
• Able to read and interpret ship installation drawings andNAVSEA Standard Items.
• Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
• Must be able to obtain base access and security credentials.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsabilités

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine welding process.
• Inspect welds for structural soundness and adherence to NAVSEA, ABS & AWS standards.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metals.
• Lead technical project teams, provide updates to customers and senior leadership.
