Job summary

Carry-On Trailer is looking for a Welder 1 to fabricate metal structures using MIG and TIG welding, guided by blueprints and technical drawings. You will produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards in a shop setting.

Responsibilities include welding in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions, adjusting equipment for quality, and maintaining safety and organization on the work floor. 0–3 years of welding experience and a strong attention to detail are preferred.

Qualifications

• MIG welding and TIG welding experience.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team player with goal-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG and TIG to join metal components.
• Weld in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Adjust welding equipment to achieve target weld quality.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts with tools.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine fabrication needs.
• Ensure measurements and tolerances are accurate.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specs.
• Identify and correct welding defects.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
