Job summary

The Dixon Group, based in Chestertown, MD, is seeking a Senior Welder to join our growing production team at the Creekside facility. You will weld Swivel Joints and Loading Arms, performing open groove pipe welds to ASME IX standards with expertise in MIG and TIG processes.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of professional production welding experience.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding is mandatory.
• Must perform Open Groove Pipe Welds to ASME Section IX standards.
• Active welding certifications are a strong plus.
• Experience reading production prints and CAD drawings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial fluid transfer products.
• Execute precision pipe welds from 1” to 24” in diameter.
• Work with various metals from aluminum to stainless steel.
• Fabricate structural components to match production prints and CAD drawings.
• Prepare materials for welding via sandblasting, grinding, and machining.
• Train and coach less experienced welders on the production floor.

The Dixon Group is seeking a Senior Welder to join our team! We are expanding our production team at the Creekside facility and are looking for a highly skilled Welder to manufacture Swivel Joints and Loading Arms. We are seeking a dedicated functional expert who can step in and make an immediate impact. If you have extensive experience in open groove pipe welding to ASME Section IX standards and take pride in your craftsmanship, we want you on our team.

What You'll Do

• Performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on industrial fluid transfer products.
• Executing precision pipe welds ranging from 1” to 24” in diameter.
• Working with a wide variety of metals, from aluminum to stainless steel.
• Fabricating structural components accurately to meet detailed production prints and CAD drawings.
• Preparing materials for welding through sandblasting, grinding, and manual machining.
• Utilizing your expertise to train, coach, and support less experienced welders on the production floor.

What We're Looking For

• 5 to 10 years of professional production welding experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding is mandatory.
• Must be highly competent in performing Open Groove Pipe Welds to ASME Section IX Standards.
• Previous experience as a welder, fabricator, or pipe fitter in related industries (e.g., energy/power generation, manufacturing/chemical processing, oil and gas refineries, or commercial infrastructure) is highly preferred.
• Active welding certifications, particularly those revolving around pipe welding, are a strong plus.
• Experience with structural welding and reading production prints/CAD is highly beneficial.
• We are looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic self-starter who is dedicated to safety, quality, and teamwork.
