Job summary

BroadBean in Missouri seeks a Weld Engineer to lead welding process development for existing products and support new launches. You will drive continuous improvement for manual and robotic welds and oversee training for welding personnel.

The role requires hands-on welding experience, AWS D1.1 knowledge, and familiarity with Solidworks CAD and FANUC robotics. Bachelor's in engineering (Weld Eng preferred) is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing or weld engineering.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols.
• Hands-on welding experience; MIG and Pulse welding preferred.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding standards.
• Solidworks CAD, WeldPro CAD, and FANUC robotics experience preferred.
• AWS-CWI certification preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement weld activities within the manufacturing engineering department for manual and robotic weld applications.
• Be utilized as a subject matter expert for welding, both manual and robotic applications.
• Develop and support Welding Procedure Specifications, Manufacturing Engineering Procedures, and Manufacturing Engineering Work Instructions.
• Maintain all WPS for W&C Suspensions.
• Assist in the procurement and application of welding machines, equipment and consumables.
• Develop training materials and coordinate training for welding positions.
• Provide technical direction during design and testing with R&D Engineering for repeatable, quality weld processes.
• Analyze processes and equipment to establish performance standards.
