Franchise World Headquarters, LLC in Shelton, CT is seeking a Tech Lead, Web (React) to steer guest-facing web experiences built with React and Next.js. You will mentor engineers, translate product goals into front-end architecture, and ensure performance and accessibility at scale.

You will collaborate with the Sr. Development Manager and Middleware teams to deliver reliable, high-quality web surfaces for subway.com and related platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5-8 years' professional React front-end experience.
• Strong TypeScript and modern front-end tooling.
• Experience with headless CMS and GraphQL/REST.
• Ability to lead technically without people management.
• Focus on accessibility and Core Web Vitals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship production React/Next.js features across subway.com and adjacent web surfaces.
• Own front-end architecture decisions for the web platform and performance patterns.
• Lead code review and mentorship for the web squad; pair with engineers to level up React/Next.js proficiency.
• Partner with the Sr. Development Manager on sprint planning, technical estimation, and task breakdown (including AEM headless and Edge Delivery Services).
• Own web platform reliability and performance; monitor Core Web Vitals and triage production incidents.
