Job summary

Google is seeking a Web Solutions Engineer III for YouTube to drive scalable web solutions and tooling across multiple YouTube teams. You will collaborate with product and engineering groups to prototype concepts, write design docs, and ensure reliable backends and UX-rich front-ends.

You will mentor junior teammates and contribute to data pipelines, performance improvements, and cross-team initiatives within the YouTube Business Technology group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of full-stack software development and system design.
• Experience with frontend languages (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with backend languages (Java/Python/C++).
• Experience with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and improve scalable full-stack web applications using Google tools and standards.
• Analyze problems and develop solutions while identifying dependencies and resolving issues.
• Make technical contributions including writing/reviewing design documents, tests, and code (JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, SQL).
• Provide subject-matter expertise and align with Google's technologies, practices, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional users and stakeholders to identify pain points and devise solutions.
