Job summary

Google is seeking a Web Solutions Engineer III for YouTube to drive scalable web solutions and tooling across multiple YouTube teams. You will collaborate with product and engineering groups to prototype concepts, write design docs, and ensure reliable backends and UX-rich front-ends.

You will mentor junior teammates and contribute to data pipelines, performance improvements, and cross-team initiatives within the YouTube Business Technology group.

Qualifications

• 4 years of full-stack software development and system design.
• Experience with frontend languages (JavaScript/TypeScript).

About the job

As a Web Solutions Engineer on the YouTube Business Technology team, you will be responsible for managing solutions that make the broader YouTube organization more efficient. Your efforts will launch quickly and have an immediate and obvious impact on those around you. You’ll be working as a part of an engineering team responsible for developing and supporting tools, prototyping proofs of concept, and writing/reviewing technical design documents to meet the needs of our services teams. You will adhere to Google’s software development best practices and work in close partnership with other project/product management and engineering teams.

We are a team that provides efficient and delightful solutions for our support communities to increase the loyalty of the ecosystem of YouTube users. The team designs and develops a variety of tools and systems that are used by YouTube support agents, partners, and users.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $128000 - $184000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and improve elegant, scalable, and modern full-stack web applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools. This may include ensuring reliable backends, building pipelines to aggregate data from multiple sources, implementing responsive and UX-rich front-ends, or enhancing performance of existing tools and services.
