Job summary

Biofire Technologies seeks a Senior Software Engineer II, Web Platform, to own the customer-facing platform behind the website, including checkout on a regulated product. You will assess the stack, define a roadmap, and implement changes spanning frontend, API, data, and infrastructure.

You will enable marketing autonomy with CMS publishing, analytics, and experimentation, while raising reliability through observability and clear SLOs for critical journeys like authentication and checkout.

Qualifications

• Ownership of production web platforms end to end across projects.
• Fluency across modern web stack including deployment, CI/CD, auth, CMS integration, payments.
• Strong system design instinct and ability to improve production codebase and pipelines.
• Track record of shipping quickly with durable results.
• Experience in commerce/regulatory-heavy domains with data correctness.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship changes across the full stack (frontend, API, data, infra).
• Own the customer-facing web platform end to end and build a pragmatic roadmap.
• Develop self-service marketing capabilities including CMS, analytics, and experimentation infrastructure.
• Improve reliability with observability, SLOs for auth/checkout, and robust release processes.
• Lead architectural changes with clear documentation and stakeholder alignment.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Design, and CX to surface constraints and define ownership.
