Job summary

Catena Operations Ltd. is seeking a Senior Web Developer to build, optimize, and maintain a portfolio of websites and web applications. You will work closely with the Tech Lead and Web Dev Manager, influencing technical decisions and focusing on fast, scalable, and secure solutions.

The role emphasizes performance, accessibility, and best practices, with collaboration across a cross-functional team. WordPress experience is a plus but not required; AI-assisted development will be part of daily

Qualifications

• 4+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience building production websites or apps with REST APIs.
• Focus on performance, Core Web Vitals, and SEO.
• Knowledge of caching, CDNs, and infrastructure (Cloudflare/AWS).
• Familiar with React, Next.js, or NestJS is a plus.
• WordPress experience is nice to have but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work habits.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize websites and web apps for performance and scalability.
• Build reusable components, themes, and plugins with security and accessibility in mind.
• Improve Core Web Vitals and SEO of sites.
• Write clean code in JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, CSS3.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor teammates.
• Collaborate with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across environments.
• Leverage AI agents to speed delivery while maintaining quality.
• Stay current with web tech and adopt new tools as they emerge.
• Integrate websites with 3rd-party platforms and tools.
