Qualifications

• 4+ years of frontend or full-stack development experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience building production websites or apps with REST APIs.
• Focus on performance, Core Web Vitals, and SEO.
• Knowledge of caching, CDNs, and infrastructure (Cloudflare/AWS).
• Familiar with React, Next.js, or NestJS is a plus.
• WordPress experience is nice to have but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work habits.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Web Developer to play a key role in building, optimizing, and maintaining our portfolio of websites and web applications. You will be working very closely with our Tech Lead and Web Dev Manager, contributing to technical decisions and ensuring our websites are fast, scalable, and secure. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver with strong frontend or full-stack experience, a focus on performance, and a good command of modern web technologies. Experience with WordPress is a plus but not required. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to implement best practices and new technologies effectively.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize websites and web applications, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Build reusable components, themes, and plugins, ensuring best practices in security, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Optimize websites for performance and SEO, while including improvements to Core Web Vitals.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Work with Git for version control and collaborate using GitHub or similar tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across different environments.
• Use AI-driven development day to day, working with company-supplied AI agents such as Claude and Codex to speed up delivery while keeping quality high.
• Stay up to date with the latest web technologies and frameworks, and adopt new tools as they emerge.
• Work with DevOps teams to manage hosting, CDNs, and caching solutions for optimal website performance.
• Develop Integrations for web sites with 3rd-party platforms and tools.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

• 4+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack web development.
• Solid experience building and shipping production websites or web applications, including custom themes, plugins, or components, and working with REST APIs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, and MySQL
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization strategies for websites, including Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with technical SEO best practices would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of caching strategies, including CDNs and application-level caching would be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with infrastructure platforms like Cloudflare, AWS, and other hosting solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, Next.js, or NestJS would be considered an asset.
• Experience with WordPress (themes and plugins) is nice to have, but not required.
• Working knowledge of AI as a day-to-day workflow, using company-supplied AI agents such as Claude and Codex to plan, write, test, and review code, and for research, debugging, learning, and planning.
