Job summary

Unworq, Inc. is seeking a Senior Designer to be located at our head office in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on delivering exceptional web experiences and translating requirements into intuitive designs.

You will lead visual design from concept through hand-off to engineering, create wireframes and user flows, and defend design decisions to stakeholders. A strong portfolio and up-to-date web trend knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a web designer.
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
• Solid experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows and site maps.
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent tools.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development process.
• Excellent visual design with strong user-system interaction sensitivity.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Up-to-date with current web trends and technologies.
• Education: BS/MS in HCI, Interaction Design or Visual Arts.

Responsibilities

• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Conceptualize original website design ideas that simplify complex roadblocks for users.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
• Present and defend designs to peers and executives.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
