Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Automation Engineer to design and maintain scalable automated testing solutions for web applications. You will collaborate with developers, BA, product owners, and DevOps to improve quality and speed up delivery.

Responsibilities include building reusable frameworks with Playwright/Selenium in Java, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and driving test-data strategies and best practices while ensuring

Qualifications

• Six+ years of web application test automation experience using Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Hands-on Java programming for automation frameworks and scripts.
• Experience with Cucumber and behavior-driven development.
• Strong to expert skills in functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to design, execute, and maintain test cases from business/technical requirements.
• Experience analyzing automated test results and supporting defect resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable web automation frameworks using Playwright and/or Selenium with Java.
• Implement functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests across multiple apps and platforms.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Develop and execute test cases, analyze results, document defects, and collaborate with dev teams to resolve issues.
• Establish test-data strategies, automation standards, and reusable components.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and DevOps to ensure coverage and quality.
• Participate in requirements reviews, test planning, risk assessments, and release-readiness activities.
• Monitor automation coverage, testing efficiency, defect trends, and quality metrics.
