Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is seeking experienced web software engineers to design, implement, and maintain web applications that support market infrastructure worldwide. You will work with Python, Django, React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS to deliver scalable, high-availability systems.

The role emphasizes code quality, testing, and collaboration across teams, with a four-day in-office work model and a strong focus on UX and performance.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
• Minimum 12 years of experience developing high-performance, data-driven websites.
• Experience with MVC web frameworks (Django preferred).
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Experience with Python or a language with a strong desire to learn Python.
• Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems.
• Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS is a plus.
• Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing is a plus.
• Strong ability to debug complex operational and/or scaling issues.
• Excellent understanding of UX principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality across applications and systems.
• Debug complex operational and/or scaling issues.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across teams.
• Define and refine engineering processes and procedures.
• Promote and enforce Cboe design standards and collaborate with the UX team.
• Provide architecture guidance for growth across assets and geographies.
• Review requirements and trade desk announcements; participate in weekend testing as needed.
• Support production systems to ensure performance and availability.
