Job summary

Cboe Global Markets is hiring web software engineers to design, implement, and maintain high-performance, data-driven web applications. You will work with Python, Django, React, Next.js and Tailwind to deliver scalable systems and real-time market data interfaces.

The role emphasizes code quality, testing, automation, and collaboration across teams in a four-day in-office model to support strong partnership and product delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
• Minimum 12 years of experience developing high-performance, data-driven websites.
• Experience with MVC web frameworks (Django preferred).
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Experience with Python or willingness to learn Python.
• Familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems.
• Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS is a plus.
• Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing is a plus.
• Strong ability to debug complex operational and/or scaling issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality across applications and systems.
• Debug complex operational and/or scaling issues.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance across teams.
• Lead and refine engineering processes and best practices.
• Promote and enforce standards for the design system and UX alignment.
• Provide architecture direction for growth of the code base and new asset classes.
