Job summary

BCforward is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering (EE) Validation Engineer to support hardware validation for next-generation smart glasses within Meta’s Wearables team. The primary focus is to monitor validation progress, review CM test reports, analyze failures, track open issues, and coordinate with EE design partners to drive issues toward resolution.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of EE hardware validation experience with strong emphasis on PI/SI.
• Ability to analyze test data, identify root causes, and drive issues to closure with cross-functional teams.
• Experience reviewing test reports for correctness and driving follow-up actions.
• Ability to develop test procedures and clear SOPs with annotated diagrams.
• Strong schematic reading skills to map circuit function from schematics/datasheets.
• PCB layout review experience with emphasis on SI/PI risk and probe access.
• Expert-level knowledge of lab instruments (oscilloscopes, probes, spectrum analyzers).

Responsibilities

• Review CM-generated validation reports to verify data quality and pass/fail criteria.
• Analyze validation failures to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with EE design partners to present findings and hypotheses.
• Track issues through resolution and ensure timely closure.
• Facilitate communication between CM, EE design, layout, and firmware teams.
• Maintain issue trackers and provide status updates to the FT E validation lead.
• Develop clear, repeatable test procedures and SOPs for CM technicians.
• Perform PI/SI measurements and prototype bring-up as needed.
