Job summary

Sabi is building a next‑generation wearable that uses EEG/BCI-inspired sensing to transform human-computer interaction. The first product is a textile beanie with a rich sensor suite, directed at real-time physiological monitoring.

You will own non-EEG sensing, including optical front-end and HRV algorithms, while coordinating with contract manufacturers and cross-functional leads. You will lead architecture, design, and validation, partnering with EE, firmware, product design, and reliability

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in sensor or hardware development for consumer wearables.
  • Deep expertise in optical PPG: front-end design and motion-robust HR/HRV algorithms.
  • Strong analog front-end design background, including noise and signal integrity.
  • Experience integrating sensors in wearables: calibration, characterization, data analysis.
  • Direct experience owning sensor selection, benchmarking, and BOM with second-source strategy.
  • Hands‑on in the lab (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) and able to collaborate across EE, firmware, ME and overseas CM.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sensor system architecture and R&D for the product's non-EEG sensing.
  • Design, select, and evaluate the sensor suite, with optical sensing as the primary focus: PPG and SpO₂.
  • Own heart-rate and HRV estimation algorithms.
  • Drive sensor front-end design and BOM ownership with second-source strategy.
  • Develop signal conditioning, calibration, and characterization methods across the sensor suite.
  • Define the sensor-fusion approach that combines streams into reliable signals for the AI assistant.
  • Specify electrical, mechanical, and firmware interfaces for sensors, collaborating on skin-contact placement and optical windows.
  • Lead technical reviews and design documentation for the sensing system.
  • Ship the product by year-end, and build and lead the sensing team.
