Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the CDG in Albuquerque, NM. You will provide technical support for DoD weapon programs, ensuring systems are designed, integrated, tested, and fielded, while coordinating with program managers and prime contractors.

Travel to test sites, perform requirements analysis, risk assessment, and technical reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR). A TS/Secret clearance is preferred-eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 7–9 years supporting DoD/Army/Air Force weapons or munitions programs.
• Active Secret clearance (ability to obtain Top-Secret).
• Willingness to travel for test and program activities.
• Experience with requirements management and system life cycle activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in weapons and munitions Systems Engineering to support program managers.
• Support requirements development, trade studies, system architecture, and interface definition across life cycle.
• Review contractor data to ensure compliance with requirements, safety, and government intent.
• Engage with prime contractors and government stakeholders during technical reviews.
• Support integration activities including platform interfaces and certification considerations.
