About the Role:

A Senior Wealth Advisor is an experienced financial professional who can work within a team to manage a large book of business. Responsibilities include business development, financial planning, asset management, pipeline management, and understanding client financial considerations. The role involves enhancing skills to stay relevant in a dynamic industry.

This individual will lead within the organization by establishing and sharing best practices in segmentation, client engagement, team dynamics, and relationship management. They may manage clients linked to branches, business clients, or serve as a hub for an existing book of business. Managing client relationships at any asset level and utilizing resources to provide optimal client experiences is essential.

The client always comes first. The Senior Wealth Advisor should maintain and grow a book of business, possibly working with other advisors and specialists. Being integrated into the community as a subject matter expert is important.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain client-focused relationships.
  • Achieve or exceed production goals.
  • Maintain effective relationships with bank personnel through meetings, training, and support.
  • Manage time and expenses for productivity.
  • Retain and develop business opportunities with clients.
  • Provide high-level individualized service based on comprehensive planning and strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure compliance with all bank and broker/dealer regulations.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and complete required training.
  • Mentor or train others as a subject matter expert.
  • Foster Umpqua’s culture and embody its values.
  • Take initiative and serve as a positive example.
  • Support the vision to become “Business Bank of Choice”.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
About You:
  • Bachelor’s degree or professional credentials such as CFA, CIMA, CFP, CWS, CEPA, or AIF.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment, financial advising, or wealth management.
  • Strong marketing and business development skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport via phone, webinar, and in person.
  • Strong product knowledge and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, responsive, motivated.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
Additional Details:

Work location is fully onsite at specified locations. This is part of an evergreen requisition for current and future openings in various markets including Vancouver, Seattle, Bellevue, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Boise, Sacramento, and Portland. Immediate openings are available.
