Job summary

O'Fallon Casting is seeking a Senior Wax Inspector to perform wax pattern rework requiring great manual dexterity and close visual attention on complex, thin-walled castings.

Under supervision, you will follow safety requirements, receive daily assignments, inspect patterns for defects and repair as necessary, and maintain records in company software. Prior experience as a Wax Injection Operator and strong manual dexterity are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years satisfactory experience as a Wax Injection Operator or equivalent.
• Must possess good manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety requirements as posted on the job safety card.
• Receive daily work assignments from the department supervisor or group leader.
• Visually inspect wax patterns for defects (cracks, chips, flow lines, lettering, distortion) and repair as necessary with extreme care.
• Notify supervisor or group leader of recurring problems.
• Maintain labor vouchers and records, and enter information into company software accurately.
• Work in citric acid area and ensure removal of soluble wax in leaching operations.
• Check internal passageways in wax patterns for defects and verify removal of soluble wax with boroscope.
• Dispose of spent citric acid and prepare new leach bath per quality procedure 00-702-11.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Attend lockout/tagout and hazardous material/waste handling training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
