Job summary

Marine Solutions, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey seeks a Waterfront Marine Engineer / Project Manager to lead complex waterfront projects from inception to completion.

You will manage contracts, budgets and schedules, direct field inspections and testing, and prepare comprehensive engineering documents with a focus on safety and quality. The role requires a PE license, 8+ years of engineering experience, and strong leadership and communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
• Be a self-starter and complete tasks assigned.
• Strong technical knowledge, experience and capabilities in waterfront engineering.
• Ability to define problems, collect/interpret data, evaluate facts and draw conclusions.
• Proficiency in computer‑assisted engineering and office software.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
• Lead contract negotiations, project planning, quality and profitability.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules and timely completion.
• Ensure accurate client billings and monitor accounts receivable.
• Direct field inspection and evaluation of structures per procedures and standards.
• Direct and/or perform testing of materials and report results for compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, plans and specifications.
• Lead and supervise engineers, technicians, drafters and staff.
• Lead internal and external project meetings and resolve issues.
• Develop client management, proposals, scoping and cost estimating.
• Maintain meaningful client relationships and promote safety culture.
