Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to lead large water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Oregon. The role emphasizes coordinating between superintendents, subcontractors, and project staff while enforcing safety plans and driving on-site execution.

Key duties include weekly activity planning, look-ahead schedules, permits, field drawings, and cost-conscious management. Strong leadership and experience across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines are

Qualifications

• Experience supervising water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Ability to coordinate between project team members and maintain accountability.
• Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and foster positive culture.
• Calm, solution-focused response to real-time problems.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical disciplines.
• Cost control, manpower planning, and scheduling knowledge.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with project closeout and punch list management.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the Health & Safety Plan for the job site.
• Lead daily morning coordination meetings with superintendents and staff.
• Plan and sequence weekly construction activities; communicate to the team.
• Coordinate between work areas and subcontractors; provide 3-week look-ahead schedules.
• Track RFIs, submittals, and change documentation affecting work.
• Audit subcontractor daily reports and prepare a Daily Report.
• Coordinate and sign permits (confined space, hot work, excavation).
• Develop field engineering drawings (concrete lift drawings, MOP submittals).
• Provide and review quantities installed; monitor weekly labor production.
