Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a wholly owned subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc. (MWH), is currently seeking a General Superintendent to support large wastewater infrastructure projects in Oregon.

Slayden Constructors is a leader in the civil construction industry in the Pacific Northwest, focused on water and wastewater infrastructure. The role emphasizes safety, multi-discipline coordination, budget awareness, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience supervising/managing water or wastewater treatment plant projects.
• Coordinate between project team members and maintain accountability.
• Negotiate with subcontractors to foster a positive environment.
• React calmly to real-time problems and identify solutions.
• Knowledge of civil, mechanical, electrical disciplines.
• Cost control, manpower planning, and scheduling knowledge.
• Experience with project closeout and punch list management.
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Enforce the job specific Health & Safety Plan.
• Hold daily morning coordination meetings with superintendents and project staff.
• Establish and sequence weekly construction activities and relay to project team.
• Coordinate and schedule between different work areas, superintendents and subcontractors; provide 3 week look ahead schedules weekly.
• Be aware of all RFIs, submittals and other change documentation impacting the work.
• Audit subcontractor daily reports and prepare a comprehensive Daily Report for the work being performed.
• Provide and sign-off on required permits (e.g. confined space, hot work, excavation).
• Coordinate the development of field engineering drawings such as concrete lift drawings, mechanical shop drawings, clash detection, 3D modeling, etc.
• Prepare and coordinate Method of Procedure (MOP) submittals to the client.
• Assist the Project Manager in monthly budget forecast.
• Manage Company owned & rental construction equipment.
• Prepare & Review Work Plans.
• Coordinate with project scheduler providing weekly updates to build into the progress schedule.
• Attend Owner/Engineer weekly construction progress meetings.
