Job summary

HR Green, Inc. in Houston seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large water and wastewater infrastructure projects, guiding design through construction and closeout.

You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships across Texas, ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality, and contribute to the growth of HR Green's Water Practice.

This role offers ownership in a reputable engineering firm and opportunities to shape strategic projects and develop teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain licensure in additional states across HR Green's operations.
• 15+ years of progressive water and wastewater consulting experience.
• Demonstrated success managing large, multidisciplinary water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience overseeing project financial performance, resource planning, and risk management.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term municipal and utility client relationships.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring project managers and engineers.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, construction, and project closeout.
• Direct project strategy, scope development, budgets, schedules, staffing, and overall project execution.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with HR Green's quality standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams while balancing technical excellence, client expectations, and financial performance.
• Provide executive-level oversight of project financials, profitability, resource planning, and risk management.
• Guide construction administration activities, contractor coordination, and successful project delivery through completion.
• Serve as the senior decision-maker for technical, contractual, schedule, and client-related matters.
• Mentor engineers and project managers by sharing technical expertise and promoting continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain long-term municipal and utility client relationships.
• Lead project pursuits, interviews, and proposal development for high-profile opportunities.
• Support strategic planning, market expansion, and business development initiatives across the region.
• Collaborate with practice leaders to establish growth strategies and achieve business development objectives.
