Job summary

Parsons in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to lead planning, design, and construction support of municipal infrastructure. You will manage scopes across collection systems, pump stations, distribution, and treatment processes, while serving as the primary client liaison.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years in water/wastewater engineering and PM, strong leadership, budgets, schedules, and regulatory knowledge; travel to sites in Texas will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of related work experience and 8+ years in water/wastewater engineering and PM.
• Experience handling municipal water/wastewater projects.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel and attend onsite meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, permitting, procurement, and construction support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
• Lead project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
• Oversee and coordinate technical teams involved in: Collection systems Pump stations Water distribution systems Water and wastewater treatment processes
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.
• Attend onsite client meetings , coordination meetings, and field visits as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and client standards.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and project staff.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery.
