Job summary

Parsons seeks an experienced Director- Water/Wastewater to lead planning, design and execution of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will guide teams across collection systems, pump stations, distribution, and treatment processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and project success.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk, mentor engineers, and support business development through client presentations and proposal work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 20+ years of related work experience and demonstrated experience managing projects involving multiple systems.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design and delivery.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, permitting, procurement, and construction support.
• Serve as the subject matter specialist on current/future water/wastewater projects.
• Support PM on developing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
• Oversee and coordinate technical teams involved in: Collection systems Pump stations Water distribution systems Water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.
• Attend onsite client meetings, coordination meetings, and field visits as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and client standards.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and project staff.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery.
