Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for water and wastewater projects in the United States. You will lead design professionals and technicians, mentor teams, and drive business development to win new projects.

You’ll assist senior engineers in defining scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules, while ensuring QA/QC across assignments. You will develop detailed PM plans for complex projects and ensure adherence to budgets, schedules, and contract obligations, fostering high-performing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 15 years related experience in project management, preferably for water/wastewater projects
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months
• Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
• Ability to perform mass & energy balance and process equipment sizing calculations
• Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of design professionals and technicians.
• Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
• Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins.
• Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects.
• Develop project management plans for unique and complex projects.
• Responsible for successfully establishing projects to achieve budget, schedule, and contractual obligations.
