Job summary

Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager for the Houston or Katy, Texas office. This role oversees a team within the Water/Wastewater Department, managing small to large projects and maintaining client relationships.

The candidate will lead project scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical reports, ensuring QA/QC and compliance. Strong writing and communication skills, plus travel, are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer in Texas or via reciprocity
• 5+ years of PM and design experience
• 10+ years in consultant civil engineering
• Experience with water/wastewater projects and plants
• Experience with municipal districts or local municipalities
• Strong writing, reading, and reporting abilities
• Ability to travel within assigned service areas

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple water/wastewater projects from conception to delivery
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules and ensure timely execution
• Represent the company in client and agency meetings
• Direct staff and manage project engineering solutions
• Coordinate efforts with management and peers
• Ensure designs meet quality objectives and agency criteria
• Prepare proposals and statements of qualifications
• Plan department workload and budget
• Mentor staff and conduct performance reviews
• Build project teams based on skills and availability
• Monitor performance and client satisfaction
