Job summary

CSG Talent partners with a leading global, employee-owned engineering consultancy to hire a Senior Project Manager for the Water & Wastewater practice in North Carolina and the Southeast. You will own major municipal projects, build long-term client relationships, and mentor engineering teams to support regional growth.

The role combines strong technical delivery with commercial awareness, client development, and leadership, offering significant autonomy and opportunity within a growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licence in North Carolina.
• 15+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater engineering projects, ideally with a strong emphasis on linear infrastructure and conveyance.
• At least 5 years of experience working with clients across North Carolina or neighbouring states.
• Proven project management experience, including technical delivery, financial oversight and client management.
• Established municipal client relationships and experience supporting business development activities.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage complex projects from initial planning and design through construction, ensuring delivery on budget, schedule and quality.
• Develop and maintain relationships with municipal utilities, public agencies and other infrastructure clients across the Carolinas.
• Support business development initiatives, including proposals, project pursuits, pricing strategies and securing new work.
• Provide technical oversight and leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers, supporting wider team growth.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to identify new opportunities and contribute to the strategic growth of the Water business.
