Job summary

Fresno County's Department of Public Works and Planning seeks a Supervising Water/Wastewater Specialist to lead day-to-day operations of water and wastewater facilities. The incumbent will supervise equipment, operations, and staff while ensuring compliance with CA state regulations and county policies.

Minimum qualifications include 3 years of related experience, CA SWRCB Grade III Water Treatment Operator and Grade II Water Distribution Operator certificates, and a Grade II Wastewater Plant

Qualifications

• Three years of full-time, paid work experience as a Water/Wastewater Specialist with Fresno County.
• Possession of a valid Grade III or higher Water Treatment Operator certificate (CA SWRCB).
• Possession of a valid Grade II or higher Water Distribution Operator certificate (CA SWRCB).
• Possession of a valid Grade II or higher Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certificate (CA SWRCB).
• License: Valid Class C driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of water and wastewater plant equipment, operations and personnel.
