Job summary

RVE an Ardurra company is seeking a water/wastewater inspector with extensive field experience in water and sewer construction in New Jersey. The role requires knowledge of gravity sanitary mains, pump stations, wastewater treatment, water mains, and distribution systems, with a minimum of 5 years' experience; conduct construction observation and project management for municipal and county projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction observation or related water/wastewater experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and perform constructability and plan reviews with input before bidding.
• Provide construction management for water supply and sanitary systems, including plants.
• Inspect contractor work for conformance to plans, specs and regulatory requirements; report daily progress.
• Attend and lead pre-construction and progress meetings; issue RFIs to keep projects on schedule.
• Conduct on-site observations to aid engineers in evaluating work per contract documents.
• Maintain daily logs and provide reports to engineers including all labor trades and equipment.
• Review payment applications with contractors and recommend progress payments.
• Know NJDEP procedures for project management and regulatory compliance.
• Perform field testing and start-up/acceptance of equipment.
• Prepare final punch lists and project closeout reviews.
• Work full-time during regular hours; may require ladders or confined spaces.
