Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) in Shallotte, NC seeks a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for a direct-hire, hybrid role after 90 days. You will lead municipal water/wastewater design efforts, develop client relationships, and manage project delivery with a focus on regional growth.

The position requires a PE license, a Bachelor’s in civil/environmental engineering (Master’s preferred), and 15+ years in municipal water/wastewater design, with 5+ years in leadership or project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• PE license is required.
• 15+ years of experience in municipal water/wastewater design.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects and/or personnel.
• Field work experience on active construction sites may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's water/wastewater efforts in the region.
• Develop relationships with municipal clients and progress projects.
• Oversee design of treatment facilities, raw water intakes, distribution, pumps, and planning.
• Mentor staff and build a capable project delivery team.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients.
