Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join any of our NH, ME, VT, or MA offices and contribute to infrastructure projects that benefit communities.

In this role you will design and manage water and wastewater systems, lead feasibility studies, and support municipal upgrades across New England, with collaborative opportunities across multiple offices in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• NH PE License is required, VT and ME licenses are highly desirable.
• Bachelor of Science in civil engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in civil engineering focusing on water and wastewater design in northern New England or a similar setting.
• Experience with AutoCAD design software, including Civil3D.
• Technical experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, and site design and permitting in NH or a similar regulatory environment.
• Solid understanding of civil engineering fundamentals (stormwater, surface water hydraulics, water/sewer systems, roadway/parking design).
• Strong technical skills and ability to perform field work including carrying equipment and walking on undeveloped sites.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and take responsibility for civil engineering project design tasks focusing on drinking water treatment, distribution, storage, and wastewater collection.
• Prepare and certify reports, permit applications, and related materials for local, state, and federal permits.
• Prepare engineering studies and cost opinions for water and wastewater projects.
• CAD design work, including Civil3D.
• Construction services assistance, including contract administration and bid documents preparation.
