Job summary

Merrick & Company in Colorado is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead design and project management for water, wastewater, and reuse systems. You will oversee analysis, design, and construction support, mentor junior engineers, and interface with clients and agencies.

This role requires a PE in CO or TX, 12+ years’ experience in water/wastewater facilities, and strong leadership. Hybrid work with regional travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
• 12+ years of experience in design and construction oversight of water/wastewater infrastructure.
• P.E. licensed in Colorado and/or Texas.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and design of water and wastewater facilities, including treatment and nutrient removal.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, cost estimates, studies and reports.
• Provide construction support, inspection oversight and startup assistance.
• Direct and manage a team of design engineers and technicians on water/wastewater projects.
• Lead project meetings, client presentations and written communications.
