Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer in California to lead major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pipelines, pumps, and reclaimed water systems. You will mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction, and manage client relationships while delivering high‑quality design work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required; an MS is preferred.
• CA PE license preferred or ability to obtain within a year.
• 8+ years of progressive water/wastewater infrastructure design experience.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software for water distribution and wastewater collection systems (Innovyze) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Manage projects, budgets, and schedules; serve as primary client contact.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
