Job summary

NV5’s Southern California Water/Wastewater group seeks an associate engineer to contribute to planning and design of drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure in California. You will work with senior engineers on projects from planning through construction and may develop leadership responsibilities.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering (MS in Civil/Environmental preferred), a CA PE license, and 4+ years of water/wastewater design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with water/wastewater focus.
• CA Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 4+ years of progressive water/wastewater infrastructure design experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of engineers to plan, design, and problem-solve projects from planning through construction.
• Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure.
• Assist clients with permitting and infrastructure financing applications.
• Coordinate with regulators and pursue project permitting and funding.
