Job summary

ISG is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Storm Lake, IA team. You will lead projects for municipal and industrial clients, perform plant and process evaluations, and develop construction-ready plans.

The role emphasizes design expertise, regulatory compliance, and coordination with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years in water/wastewater, strong communication, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• PE licensure is required.
• 10+ years hands-on design experience in water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong command of water and wastewater engineering principles.
• Experience in team building and leadership is a plus.
• Excellent multitasking, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects or contribute to evaluation, planning and implementation of water and wastewater systems.
• Conduct treatment technology assessments using data analysis and modeling.
• Diagnose and improve existing system operations and forecast capital and O&M needs.
• Develop construction-ready conceptual and detailed engineering plans.
• Assist with construction, start-up, and operational support for new installations.
• Prepare permit submittals and ensure regulatory compliance.
