Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Texas team in Houston, TX. The role combines high-level project management with technical leadership on water and wastewater projects for industrial clients.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and 10–15 years of experience in a commercial/industrial setting. Strong regulatory knowledge in Texas is essential, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical, etc.) is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• 10-15 years of experience designing and managing water & wastewater projects from a commercial/industrial background.
• Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and Texas record-keeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Attend and potentially lead regularly scheduled meetings with clients.
• Lead internal engineering and design teams on single and multi-discipline projects.
• Assume role of lead technical engineer as needed and review team work.
• Review calculations prepared by junior and midlevel staff.
• Manage project budget and schedule; monitor progress and milestones.
• Oversee permit applications to regulatory agencies and lead when needed.
• Interface with vendors, equipment suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
