Job summary

HNTB is seeking a design engineer to produce and modify calculations, reports, and plans for diverse projects. You will collaborate with project managers to research, design and deliver reliable engineering solutions using current tools and software.

The role requires building conceptual and detailed designs, mentoring junior staff when needed, and contributing to successful project delivery for a broad client base. This position emphasizes quality and efficiency across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours.
• Assist in the development of project specifications.
• Develop discipline-specific engineering elements such as reports, designs, and plans.
• Coordinate and improve productivity of project team members.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Work with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of deliverables.
• Assist with planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
