We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Newport News, VA location. The successful candidate will be able to work independently on technical tasks, lead and coordinate projects, serve as the project design lead when appropriate, and support technical proposal development. Excellent communication, presentation, mentoring, and training skills are essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Manage and oversee water/wastewater project design and planning.
2. Lead the design office in Tidewater Virginia.
3. Develop proposals and presentations to secure new projects.
4. Monitor project budgets, ensure timely delivery, and maintain quality standards. Manage work-in-progress and client billings.
5. Participate in construction phases, including pre-bid, interpretation, post-bid evaluation, and contract preparation.
6. Contribute to pre-project presentations and interviews.
7. Lead project planning from procurement to closeout, monitoring progress and controlling execution to meet goals.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 16+ years of experience in water and wastewater system planning, design, and construction, including facilities, transmission systems, storage tanks, pumping stations, force mains, and sewer system rehabilitation.
• Construction phase experience is preferred.
• Must hold a P.E. license registered in Virginia or be able to obtain it via comity within 6 months.
