Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Design Engineer to join our Resilience Water team. The ideal candidate will lead design activities for wastewater treatment plants, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with offices in Philadelphia, Paramus, and national teams.

This role emphasizes delivering sustainable water infrastructure solutions and client collaboration. The role requires a Civil/Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical engineering background, 10 years of experience, and a NJ PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of related industry experience in water/wastewater field.
• PE License in New Jersey and/or in nearby states (or ability to obtain NJ PE within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and client development efforts across feasibility, conceptual, detailed design and construction phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and construction documents while ensuring compliance with Arcadis standards and safety requirements.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and resource allocation; engage with clients and stakeholders.
