Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer to join our Water team. The role follows a hybrid work model with attendance at multiple offices.

You will lead design, optimization, and management of drinking water and wastewater systems to meet safety and environmental standards. Ideal candidates have a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, PE license, and 8+ years in water/wastewater projects, including conventional and advanced treatment.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
• PE license required or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• 8+ years in water/wastewater design projects (plants, pumping stations).
• Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and plant facilities projects, including study, plans, and specs.
• Design and upgrade treatment systems with filtration, storage, and pumping.
• Analyze and optimize treatment processes to improve cost and efficiency.
• Perform hydraulic analysis of plants, pumps, and piping; select equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for drinking water and wastewater.
