Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a leader in civil construction in the Pacific Northwest, seeks a Project Executive to lead large water and wastewater projects in Oregon. You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, manage safety, budget, and schedule, and develop client relationships across complex programs.

The role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and a proven track record on multi-million-dollar facilities with a focus on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of construction/management experience on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 5+ years on water/wastewater plant projects.
• Proven ability to lead projects; design-build/CMAR preferred.
• Strong understanding of water/wastewater systems and startup/commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and close-out of large water/wastewater projects ($50M–$300M+).
• Oversee project teams and subcontractors with leadership and technical support.
• Monitor construction, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Procure subcontractors and materials via subcontracts and purchasing.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.
• Manage risk, change orders, and claims while protecting company interests.
• Ensure compliance with specs, codes, and contractual requirements.
• Mentor staff and promote a high-performing team culture.
• Provide monthly reporting and collaborate with finance on forecasts and cash flow.
