Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible municipal utility operations experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience operating water treatment facilities and groundwater well systems.
• Previous supervisory or lead operator experience preferred.
• Experience with SCADA systems and telemetry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of Utilities Operators and Technicians.
• Train personnel in operations, safety, regulatory compliance, and equipment operation.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with policies.
• Manage emergencies, after-hours calls, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Operate water treatment plants in accordance with standards and regulations.
• Monitor SCADA alarms, telemetry data, and system performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate major repairs with contractors.
