Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Water Treatment to join our team in Irvine, CA or Phoenix, AZ. This role focuses on the evaluation, planning, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including organics-to-energy programs.

You will lead design guidance, client management, and project engineering across diverse water projects. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in water/wastewater design, ABET-credited degrees, and a PE license (CA or AZ preferred).

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Water/Wastewater treatment design.
• CA or AZ PE license preferred, or able to obtain AZ license within one year.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Solutions Design: create design guidelines and validation to meet standards.
• Engineering Standards Specification: develop and evaluate standards within engineering discipline.
• Project Management: deliver small- to medium-scale projects within a programme plan.
• Process Design Engineering: specify methods and equipment to design processes.
• Contract Management: manage day-to-day relationships with service providers.
• Product and Solution Development: define products/services meeting customer needs.
• Knowledge Management System: operate within knowledge-management systems.
• Personal Capability Building: participate in assessment and training; pursue relevant accreditation.
• Engineering Inspections: inspect works and specify remedial actions.
• Improvement/Innovation: identify and address shortcomings in processes.
• Client & Customer Management: manage relationships with clients and key customers.
