Job summary

Hawkins, Inc./WaterSurplus in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to deliver site services for water treatment equipment, supervise installations, start-ups, commissioning, and training while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will troubleshoot RO, UF, NF systems, ion exchange and chemical injection, read schematics, lead technicians, and travel frequently to client sites across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical design/equipment repair.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant equipment service and start-up experience in water treatment.
• Electrical and PLC programming experience.
• Ability to lead and direct field staff on engineering practices.
• Ability to read equipment drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, electrical schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite/offsite installation, service, start-up, commissioning, testing and training for water treatment equipment.
• Support field service goals and manage onsite time/cost.
• Assist Production Manager in Loves Park with refurbishments, rentals, and testing of equipment.
• Maintain and operate tools, vehicles, and safety programs.
• Operate company vehicles with a valid driver's license.
• Promote OSHA compliance and safe workplace practices.
• Train Field Service Engineers and Technicians for successful start-ups.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
