Job summary

Kurita America, part of the Kurita Group, seeks an Account Manager for Southern California to drive revenue and profit growth in water treatment chemicals, equipment, and services, using a consultative sales approach.

Based from a home office in Southern California, the role covers a 150-mile territory with 80–100% travel; requires 5+ years' technical sales and a technical bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of successful technical or outside sales experience.
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proven work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing customer base in accordance with current service level agreements.
• Work with management to establish selling strategies and generate new account business.
• Execute sales goals in assigned accounts.
• Provide technical support to customers; address complaints and escalate as required.
• Analyze customer needs and respond with proposals, negotiations and contracts.
