Job summary

City of Caldwell is seeking an advanced-level Production Operator to perform highly technical tasks in production system operations and maintenance. The role involves outdoor work under supervision, with potential on-call rotations and evening/weekend shifts in a city water distribution environment.

Responsibilities include water quality sampling, well and reservoir maintenance, SCADA monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or completion of a GED.
• Minimum of two years of work experience in pipe or maintenance construction; or experience in water distribution system construction, maintenance or repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform water quality sampling and ground water well operations to ensure proper operation.
• Operate, maintain, and repair the city's well sites, booster stations, and reservoirs.
• Monitor and operate SCADA system and make operational changes as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on chlorination and water quality equipment.
